Once kawaki get his limiters off or more power up to come the kawaki that we know will slowly start to detach himself from others, Kawaki is just doing what Itachi told Naruto not to do in the beginning of the war arc “no matter how powerful you become never shoulder everything alone” and don’t forget the ones around you
Since boruto & kawaki switched places kawaki unironically is positioned how beginning of shippuend naruto was with sasuke being the rouge ninja like his student boruto under different circumstances but similar and different at the same time, both boruto & kawaki are on their respected masters Naruto & Sasuke paths
(Kawaki dark to light) (Boruto light to dark)
Kawaki & Boruto brotherly dynamic also mirrors Itachi and Sasuke
-Kawaki’s protective and willingness to sacrifice himself for Boruto & especially Himawari resembles Itachi motivations for Sasuke
-Boruto’s unwavering dedication to Kawaki despite the latter’s flaws, echoes sasuke’s ultimate desire to reconnect w Itachi
As secrets & truths get revealed down the line with kawaki more cold demeanor and mindset he’ll feel like everyone around him will be come a burden they as in his (allies) can’t hang with the threats at hand, Kawaki will start trying to take on the burdens all by himself
Kawaki is going to feel more like a hero as time goes by & boruto will slowly lose himself bc of momo and feel like a villain
Kawaki even goes as far to seal the villagers away in the Daikokuten to keep them safe from whoever destroys Konoha & changes his mind from wanting to killing boruto to trying to seal him away
What changed??
where is Himawari when this all takes place?
(Possible contenders that may have destroyed konoha most to least likely imo)

he can choose to destroy the world so that there won’t be any chakra for ten tails to absorb making that place safe for Naruto and his family since otsusukis won’t come again

Kawaki getting stronger and isolating himself is literally him repeating the same mistake Itachi warned Naruto about — “don’t shoulder everything alone.”
Since their memories switched, Kawaki now walks Naruto’s old path (dark → light), while Boruto walks Sasuke’s path in reverse (light → dark). Kawaki shifting from wanting to kill Boruto to sealing him shows he’s becoming a twisted kind of hero: protecting everyone even if they hate him.
Himawari’s absence probably means she’s sealed in Daikokuten with the villagers or she’s being saved for a major reveal.
As for who destroyed Konoha, most likely is:
1) Borushiki/Boruto losing control
2) Otsutsuki
3) Code with a power-up
4) Shinju
5) Kawaki (least likely — he’s protecting, not destroying)
In short: Boruto is losing himself, Kawaki is trying to save everyone, and that clash is what breaks the world

I think bourtos jougan will end the life switch but the best way to end it would be to give boruto itachis fate, I think that’s one of the reason they are making himwari so powerful, great blog

Should Kawaki continue to shoulder everything all on his own, then it will certainly be his downfall, as Itachi warned Naruto, that no-one should try to do everything alone, otherwise they will just fail, and Kawaki will indeed fail!
