Many people believe that Sarada and Sumire are not affected by Omnipotence because they both share love for an Otsutsuki, namely, Boruto. However, Eida has stated in the manga that there are two types of hearts she can’t steal with her ability. One is Otsutsuki and the other is blood relatives of Eida. Which is why Sumire and Sarada are not affected by Eida’s omnipotence and charm. Both of them are neither blood relatives of Eida nor Otsutsuki. If love for an Otsutsuki made you immune to the effects of Omnipotence too than Eida would’ve stated that as well along with blood relatives and Otsutsuki. If Sumire and Sarada was indeed not affected because of their shared love for Boruto then why is Himawari still affected by Omnipotence and why was her memories rewritten by it? Her love for Boruto as her “big bro” was strong and deep. She had a strong bond and connection with him and yet she was still affected by Omnipotence despite that. So I refuse to believe that their shared love for Boruto is the reason why Sarada and Sumire are immune to Omnipotence.
I think when we go further back into the past shortly before omnipotence was casted by Eida and to when Sarada and Sumire had their little “girl talk” with Eida like they were having a typical girls night, sleepover or pajama party, we might just find the real answer. Omnipotence granted Eida’s deepest DESIRES for an ordinary boyfriend and ordinary friends and basically just the ordinary life of a typical teenage girl. She wanted to be seen and treated as a normal teenage girl and not some cyborg who can be used a weapon, vessel or tool. She wanted genuine friendship and romance and to love and be loved and have a real, deep connection with someone. She did not want people to be interested in her or like and love her because of her charm and omnipotence ability that affected them. She wanted people to CHOOSE to love and be friends with her out of free will. Sarada and Sumire are the ordinary friends Eida wished for.

Typical Shikamaru told Sumire and Sarada to get close to Eida and win over her trust so that if Eida becomes an enemy in the future, Sarada and Sumire could stop her and even kill her. So Shikamaru thought that they could be the key to stopping Eida. When Sarada and Sumire befriended Eida like this they basically boosted their immunity to Omnipotence that was casted shortly afterwards. Their new found friendship with Eida is what saved them from beimg affected by Omnipotence. Eida’s omnipotence obviously aren’t perfect and have some flaws and weaknesses like any other jutsu. She isn’t an Otsutsuki like Shibai that can control omnipotence at will and instead can only cast it subconsciously. This could also be a possible reason why Sarada and Sumire aren’t affected despite the fact that Eida’s omnipotence seemed to grant Kawaki’s wish to switch positions with Boruto. As she casted omnipotence subconsciously, it also somehow granted her wish for an ordinary boyfriend and friends. It could also be the reason why people like Shikamaru, Sasuke, Koji and Himawari were doubting their memories and wanted to help Boruto and believe in him.

Will Sarada and Sumire’s friendship blossom into something genuine or will it end in betrayal? Only time will tell Eida’s omnipotence is like Kabuto’s reanimation jutsu where both had flaws in terms of control as Kabuto had limited control over the edo tensei ninjas and many of them could break free from the control of that jutsu. Eida on the other hand also has limited control over her omnipotence and some people managed to doubt their memories despite the fact that omnipotence is rewriting it and they believe in Boruto’s innocence which is not an easy thing to pull off and is considered impressive

Makes sense tho , Noice theory I like it 😄😄

A logical and smart theory. It gives a human dimension to Eida’s ability and explains Sarada and Sumire’s exemption in a way that goes beyond the usual emotional explanation.
This theory is actually pretty cool. It’s canon that Omnipotence was cast with Eida’s subconscious desire to give Kawaki the life he wanted, but this theory adds a cool spin to it. Your point that Eida’s Omnipotence also gave HER the life she wanted (friends and a boyfriend) is something I didn’t think of. The only 3 things Eida wanted were love (Kawaki), friends (Sarada & Sumire), and for her love (Kawaki) to be happy. And Omnipotence unintentionally fulfilled all 3 desires at once. The manga mainly focuses on how Omnipotence was cast (subconsciously) to make Kawaki happy, but this theory does a great job of highlighting her other 2 desires. DISCORD: @kyotosfinest
Also, I do think that the Sarada & Sumire friendship will end in betrayal. I remember reading something about how one of the authors said some of the anime canon stuff and the manga canon will mirror each other, but then eventually “meet in the middle.” The Boruto anime started with Sumire as a villain, so I think Sumire will turn bad at some point. And I think their mutual love for Boruto will be the root cause of it.

This theory lowk tuff, didnt kno thats how eida thought.

Interesting theory
This is a really solid theory. I also don’t think love for an Otsutsuki explains Sarada and Sumire’s immunity. Their genuine connection with Eida before Omnipotence might be the real reason. Eida’s desire for real friends could have shaped the jutsu without her fully realizing it. The flaws in Omnipotence make it way more interesting, especially seeing characters start to question their memories.
