Some of you guys might be bored or done with my matrix comparisons but Kishimoto truly did take a lot of inspiration from the matrix movies, just as akira toryama was inspired by the terminator for some of his dragon ball arcs. But this is a good one I promise. The infinite Tsukuyomi was an eternal genjutsu that was meant to give those under the influence constant peace and paradise, basically a heaven where all your dreams come true. The matrix is also an eternal dream world that was created by machines instead of otsutsuki. In the movies, it was mentioned that there were multiple versions of the matrix. First there was a paradice matrix that was a complete heaven, granted all the wishes and desires a human could want, exactly like the infinite Tsukuyomi. But that matrix failed, and the machines decided to do the complete opposite and created a nightmarish matrix. This matrix had mythological beings like demons, vampires, werewolves, ghosts and anything else that could terrorize humanity. At first when you hear “nightmarish” you might think of Itachi’s Tsukuyomi and you’re right it was most likely derived from this nightmarish version of the matrix. But what if we go deeper? I mentioned the nightmarish beings from the matrix were mythological of origin. Basically humanity’s outlook on monstrous creatures. Well, doesn’t Code himself look like a vampire? Code has an interesting character design, he literally out of nowhere got a vampire design for his timeskip outfit. Why choose this in particular? Sure you can just say iki wanted to be unique, but i think it’s actually hinting at the grand scheme of things. Naruto is pronounced dead, Shikamaru is hokage, the entire world wants to take down Boruto, mitsuki is full of hate, his sun has been eclipsed, and the leaf is in constant alert for either Boruto or Code to completely demolish them. Doesn’t it seem as though everything is going downhill? No one is happy, everyone is scared, bitter or under stress to some degree. Even Sarada is rebelling against the Hokage which isn’t who she is, atleast it wasn’t who she was. What does all this mean? This could mean a couple things. For one, the moment Kawaki activated Omnipotence, Ikimoto and Kishimoto wanted a way to symbolize this being a dark storyline going forward. Atleast to a degree. That could be all there is to it. Maybe the omnipotence is meant to be a more advanced nightmarish Tsukuyomi and the parallels stop there. Now a major part of the storyline involves finding a way to undo the Shinjutsu and taking care of Kawaki, Code and maybe Shibai. But who is Shibai? This will lead to the second direction this could be taking.

I mentioned earlier that there were multiple versions of the matrix. The point of this was to keep humanity unaware of the control machines had over them. For now on, I want you to replace the word “machine” with the words “Otsutsuki” or “Shibai.”
So when the machines placed humanity in the paradise matrix, it didn’t work out for them. The reason why is because humanity realized that things were too good to be true and started questioning reality and why everything was so perfect. A nice parallel could be Humanity’s fight against Madara’s own paradise Tsukuyomi because they were aware of losing their free will. So what happened was the machines tried the opposite and instead gave them the nightmarish matrix based on the dark ages and well the dark reflection of humanity. Again vampires and demons were present there. But the same result happened, humanity began to question why things were always so bad and why it was so hellish. Once again they became aware and started breaking lose. The machines had to scrap this matrix as well because it was considered a failure. So what happened was they ended up creating a program that was focused on understanding human emotion. This program ended up giving birth to an entirely new matrix. The reason why the change was so massive was because the program gave humanity the right to make choices, and once that was implemented, the matrix success rate was near 100%. People no longer questioned the matrix anymore because they thought they had control over their lives. It wasn’t perfect or else there wouldn’t be a movie, I think you can see what i’m leading up to.

The Tsukuyomi came from the ten tails seedling maturing into a tree, tying everyone up in its branches and sucking the life out of them. Placing them under genjutsu to distract them. Eida’s omnipotence is a watered down version of the real thing, but it’s definitely more advanced than the Tsukuyomi. Instead of the ten tails being used for the tsukuyomi, it’s actually being used to turn into Code’s minions who look like demonic beings while Code the leader I already expressed is dressed like a vampire. The next step is the full power Omnipotence that only a fully realized god can activate. Momoshiki mentioned this to Boruto. In fact if you replace Momoshiki’s words “gods” with “machines” then it starts making sense. We’re building up to a revelation that the Boruto verse is already under a large-scale omnipotence. I’ve already made a theory about this and tag it here.
Lastely, there is a program called the “Merovingian” who is the keeper of exiled programs. Remember when I said the paradise and nightmare matrixes were scrapped? Well there were programs that were meant to reside and watch over those matrixes. Once those matrixes were scrapped those programs were going to be disposed of, but the Merovingian saved them and kept them safe in his domain. Doesn’t this awfully sound alot like Code releasing Eida and Daemon who were exiled and have names in relation to programming? Boro was also apart of that too, but you can sorta see what I mean. There’s matrix references everywhere.
In conclusion, we’re heading for dark times. Sarada is edgy because it’s another sign, if things weren’t going the way they are now, then she’d be dressed closer to Sumire most likely. But instead it actually gives me some Hinata Road to Ninja vibes. Sounds like I’m trying hard to make my case but it’s there. Momoshiki’s prophecy is most likely still coming to fruition. And if you believe Toneri’s prophecy is true then it’s already been foreshadowed. He said the world would be doomed if the jougan didn’t exist, meaning it’s already been in our faces the entire time. What do you guys think?
