Akebi Is The Trigger Event

Akebi Is The Trigger Event

Did some digging around to see what the purpose of Akebi’s character in Boruto would be, and I think I found it. Looking back, Akebi is actually the most influential person in Boruto’s story outside of Boruto himself. Akebi is the reason why Kara was formed, why Jigen had access to Amado and his science which lead to the Inners and outers having this insane technology. She’s the reason why Kawaki has his karma. She’s the reason why Isshiki failed indirectly. Her death caused almost everything to happen in Boruto other then Momoshiki’s interference on earth.

You can write this off as just a butterfly affect that can be said for any series. Like for example you can say the Akatsuki truly started when Rin died. Rin was the trigger. But here’s the thing, the beginning has to be thought out carefully. Akebi died 12 years ago on the year Boruto was born. Why so specific? Why even give a number and THEN remind us of Boruto’s age in the manga later on? They could have just said “She died long ago” but no it was exactly 12 years ago. You can argue Amado has just been counting and it just kinda fell out of his mouth but it’s worth looking into.

Akebi is named after a flower called “Akebia” which you probably already know, but what this flower can do is bear fruits. Specifically named “Akebia quinata.” The fruits are very similar to how chakra fruits are colored atleast. this basically tells us that she will probably become a chakra fruit in the future since Kawaki or Boruto can’t become fruits. Here’s an interesting fact though. The flower blooms in the spring time, March, April, May which…Boruto was born at the end of March. Makes me wonder if she actually died on Boruto’s birthday?

Anyways, Boruto’s prophecy he got from Toneri. The jougan is the star of hope in a darkness that will shroud the future. I believe Akebi IS the trigger to that darkness in the future. Whether it’s herself or through a chakra fruit she’s created. But i’m 100% sure she’s becoming a fruit.

Kishimoto loves symbolism, he literally had Obito not too long after he fell into darkness attack Naruto and kill his parents on his birthday. Is it not too hard to believe Akebi being revived will be a bad omen for the world? Boruto the light being brought to life and Akebi the darkness passing away at the same time, same year, possibly same month and same day even? What do you think?
