The Uzumaki Clan Might Actually Be the Greatest Threat to the Otsutsuki

We know that the Hagoromo passed down his chakra to humanity, giving rise to powerful clans such as the Uzumaki Clan. Among these, the Uzumaki are especially notable for their massive chakra reserves, extraordinary life force, and exceptional sealing abilities.

In the early chapters of Boruto , it was stated by Sakura that the Byakugo Seal dates back to the era of Hagoromo. Considering how primitive the shinobi world was at that time, it is reasonable to assume that Hagoromo himself created that seal.

This raises an important question: what exactly is the Byakugo Seal, and why was it created?

Interestingly, one of the last true Uzumakis, Mito Uzumaki, seem to possess a Byakugo seal . This connection seems too significant to be coincidental. In fact, many natural traits of the Uzumaki, massive chakra reserves, rapid healing, and super strength, closely resemble the abilities granted by the Byakugo Seal.

This suggests a deeper possibility: what if the Uzumaki clan’s abilities are not just genetic traits, but are fundamentally linked to the principles behind the Byakugo Seal?

We already know that the Uzumaki possess unparalleled sealing techniques, allowing them to suppress even tailed beasts. This is precisely why they were often chosen as jinchuriki. If their sealing power is indeed connected to the Byakugo Seal, then its true function may extend far beyond simple healing or chakra storage.

It could have been designed as a countermeasure.

Hagoromo, being the son of Kaguya , would have had knowledge of the Otsutsuki threat. It is plausible that he foresaw their eventual return and created the Byakugo Seal as a way to combat or suppress them.

If the Uzumaki can naturally suppress tailed beasts, then it stands to reason they may also be capable of suppressing Otsutsuki entities. In this sense, the Byakugo Seal may possess hidden “anti-Otsutsuki” properties that have yet to be fully revealed.
