Boruto’s karma mark acts just as Minato’s FTG mark but just with a different purpose. If Boruto is capable of doing so, he could modify his own ability to place a karma seal on someone. And place a karma seal without making a vessel that acts as a FTG marker. He could place this mark on anything with no limitations with a link to himself. Essentially making a permanent Flying Raijin mark just like Minato’s that will increase its combat capabilities. He could mark his opponents and they would have that mark on them forever.
In chapter 36 of Boruto NNG Jigen uses kawakis karma mark as as a link for space time ninjutsu. So infact this has actually been done in the story before. Boruto would just be recreating whats been done already. The karma mark that the users place have a direct link to the user itself. (As shown with Jigen). The same way that Code doesn’t have to go through the same mental obstacles that Boruto has go through with his teleport ability like picturing the mark in his head. It’s possible that because of the link that karma marks have to its user that Boruto would just negate that and be able to instantly teleport. His FTG mark would be entirely equivalent to Minato’s
Amado states that while we do have a bit of info about Karma that there is a lot we don’t know about it. A Karma seal can be an Otsutsuki backup file like with Boruto and Kawaki. But at the same time it could act purely as a weapon. Like with Code. So the story has already established that karma isn’t stuck to one specific purpose. Boruto’s new FTG itself is the result of him editing his space time ninjutsu to be more versatile and suitable for combat. This leaves plenty of room for Boruto to potentially tweak the karma seal to act as a FTG mark for teleportation. This would be a perfect addition to his already insane move set and it would show Boruto’s creativity and genius even more.
